Airways are kinda scary; abnormal airways are really scary. The patient in distress with a tracheostomy can be terrifying, and we don’t deal with it very often but it can be career changing when you do. Here’s a little bit of how to deal with the crashing trach patient in the field and not have to change your pants after.
